'VARDA' playing card series is designed and inspired by Jules Chéret's great art pieces. Jules Cheret (May 31, 1836 - September 23, 1932) was a French painter and lithographer who became a master of poster art.
The illustration style, color combinations, typography, and patterns are developed with his style. The illustration style is a combination of Jules Chéret's art style with the Sinhala letters. This design is a tribute to that great lithographer and also to the Sinhala language.
